Saskatchewan Announces End to Temporary SINP Pause
The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) has undergone major changes following a 50% reduction in nomination allocations by the federal government. Saskatchewan now has only 3,625 nominations, the lowest since 2009, and 75% of nominees must already be in Canada.
Key Changes to SINP
Priority for Overseas Candidates – Only health care, agriculture, and skilled trades workers will be considered. Other occupations must recruit from within Canada.
Industry-Specific Caps – Accommodation, food services, retail, and trucking nominations are capped at 25% of the total annual quota.
Ineligible Occupations – Spas, salons, and pet care services (except veterinarians) are no longer eligible under SINP.
Permanent Program Closures – The Entrepreneur, International Graduate Entrepreneur, and Farm Owner/Operator streams are now closed.
Application Returns – Saskatchewan Express Entry & Occupations In-Demand applications without a Saskatchewan-based job offer will be returned. Refunds are available upon request.
These updates will impact many applicants, so stay informed and check your eligibility before applying!

Designed to retain skilled workers in Yukon’s labour market.
Express Entry Changes – No More Job Offer Points!
Starting March 25, 2025, Express Entry candidates officially will no longer receive points for job offers. Previously, job offers could add:
200 points for senior management roles (NOC 00)
50 points for other skilled occupations
This change means CRS scores will now rely more on education, language skills, and work experience. If you were depending on job offer points, now is the time to focus on improving your profile!
