🚨Deportation of Undocumented Immigrants in Canada: A Growing Concern
Canada is experiencing a rise in the deportation of undocumented immigrants, with estimates ranging from 20,000 to 500,000 individuals living without legal status. Many have overstayed their visas or remained after rejected asylum claims, continuing to work and live in Canada while facing the constant threat of deportation.
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has recently intensified its efforts, targeting International Students, Temporary Foreign Workers, and Visitor Visa Holders:
International Students: Caught working beyond their authorized limits.
Temporary Foreign Workers: Overstaying their visas and continuing to work illegally.
Visitor Visa Holders: Engaged in unauthorized employment despite restrictions on their visas.
This surge in deportations has drawn widespread attention, sparking debate over the complex challenges these undocumented immigrants face as they attempt to build lives in Canada amidst stricter immigration enforcement.
What Should You Do?
To avoid deportation, ensure you follow immigration rules:
Stay within limits: Don’t exceed your visa’s authorized hours or duration.
Renew on time: Apply for extensions or status changes before your visa expires.
Follow employment rules: Don’t work without authorization if on a visitor visa.
